my DP5 always crash i can't even count how many times. it crash while editing vocals, pitch correction, sometimes on mixing, even if i only have like 4 tracks and 1 built in plugin from DP im always worried it would crash while im working, mostly if im already doing a complex project and has too many effects and edits, i cant afford to bounce the tracks one by one just to get rid of the effects and lessen the cpu usage cause most of the time i dont go more than 50% percent for the cpu usage. I already tried installing my DP5 to 3 different Imac's, mine has i3 processor, the other two is i5, and yet, it all crashes.. they all have 10.6.8 mac osx. and im using motu traveler, and 896hd interface. now i have a bunch of 3rd party plug ins, like Waves. i know there's an issue about this plug in of being incompatible, and its a headache cause i always use the GTR3 toolrack, and the crash get worst. but i tried some solution deleting the audio unit cache preferences to disable the plugin problem. but even before i get crashes without the waves plugin. i dont really want to upgrade to DP7, im happy with DP5 cause i can do everything that i can think of. im a sound engineer,producer,arranger and this is my main work and i do this for a living. so please help me cause i can't work this way.. i invested for imacs just to use DP5, and i dont want any software, ive tried mostly all of them, DP5 is the best (if theres no single crash) compared to Pro tools 9 or other DAW! and one more.. after getting hundreds of crashes/force quit of my DP5, this is the first time i posted on a forum with my concern,im looking forward for some help and i would really appreciate it!! thank you!
